Hospital Beds

Do you remember all those creative plans I had last week? I had lots of material ready for curtains, and tea towels and cards. I was all fired up with enthusiasm for my creative activities.

That was before I spent the weekend in hospital with my little boy. He has been really unwell and until I know what all the test results are I can't really bring myself to write a lot about it.

Suffice it to say he has been hooked up to IV antibiotics for 3 days, and we have both been sleeping at the hospital for 3 nights. We've only been allowed home beacuse they've changed to oral antibitics, we still have to go every day to see the specialist until things calm down.

My boy loved the beds, the kind with a remote control which raises the back or the feet or both. Every time I looked at him he had the bed in a different position!

We were fantastically well looked after by the staff, but it is so good to be home. I am so looking forward to sleeping in sheets not printed with Gibraltar Health Authority in large letters.

Please keep my boy in your prayers and if you don't hear much from me it's because there's no wi-fi connection at the hospital!

  6. Please know that I hope the best for your son and make sure you grab some rest when you can (maybe while he sleeps). He is in the best place he can be at the moment.
